What Dermodrin is and what it is used for
Dermodrin belongs to the class of medicines called antihistamines for topical use and is an ointment that acts against the manifestations of allergies due to the discharge of histamine (antihistamine) such as: redness, itching of the skin and pain. In addition, it reduces or prevents the appearance of skin swelling caused by allergies. Dermodrin ointment acts as an oil emulsion in water and has a cooling effect, thus increasing the pain-relieving effect. The effect is felt shortly after applying the ointment and persists for 2 to 6 hours.
It is indicated in the treatment of pruritus (itchy skin), local pain and hypersensitivity reactions (excessive or abnormal, allergic immune reaction of the body) in the case of:
– dermatological conditions with an allergic component;
– insect bites.
