Benadyl 5 mg, for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs and cats, 28 tablets

The product is used for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs and cats.

Ingredients:
Active substance – Benazepril hydrochloride 5 mg
Excipients – Titanium dioxide 0.52 mg, Iron oxide 0.06 mg.

Key benefits:
In dogs with congestive renal failure, benazepril hydrochloride reduces blood pressure and the volume load on the heart.
Benazepril prolonged the time to worsening of heart failure and death, improved clinical condition, reduced coughing and improved exercise tolerance in dogs with symptomatic congestive heart failure caused by valvular disease or dilated cardiomyopathy.

Method of administration:
Oral administration.

Box of 28 tablets.

Dosage:
The medicinal product should be administered orally, once daily, with or without food.
The veterinary medicinal product should be administered orally, at a minimum dose of 0.25 mg benazepril hydrochloride/kg body weight once daily.
Cats 2.5-5 kg ​​- ½ tablet per day
Cats 5-10 kg – 1 tablet per day
Dogs 5-10 kg – ½ tablet per day
Dogs 10-20 kg – 1 tablet per day
In dogs with congestive heart failure, the dose can be doubled, maintaining the once-daily administration at a minimum dose of 0.5 mg benazepril hydrochloride/kg body weight.

Possible adverse effects:
In rare cases, vomiting and fatigue may occur, and in very rare cases, increased creatinine levels.
If you notice serious reactions or other unusual elements, please inform your veterinarian.

Precautions:
In case of chronic kidney disease, the doctor should check the animal’s hydration status and it is recommended to perform regular blood tests during therapy to monitor serum creatinine and urine concentrations plus the number of erythrocytes.
Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.

Storage:
Store in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight, at temperatures up to 25°C.

In case of overdose:
In case of accidental overdose, transient and reversible arterial hypotension may occur.
