What is Cicaderma and what is it used for
Cicaderma is a homeopathic medicine traditionally used in burns and superficial wounds of small extent, sunburn, cracks and fissures of the skin, insect bites.
How to use Cicaderma
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage
Depending on the severity of the skin lesions, the ointment is applied 1-2 times a day, with or without a dressing.
Method of administration
Cutaneous administration.
The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin after cleaning the lesions to be treated.
If you use more Cicaderma than you should
Contact your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use Cicaderma
Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If you stop using Cicaderma
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s wort) in Cicaderma ointment has a sensitizing effect (effect due to hypericin); its application to the skin may cause cutaneous side effects (due to the risk of photosensitization).
