For cats – Marbofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of:
Skin and soft tissue infections (wounds, abscesses, phlegmons) caused by susceptible strains.
Upper respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible strains.
For dogs – Marbofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of:
Skin and soft tissue infections (skin fold pyoderma, impetigo, folliculitis furunculosis) caused by susceptible strains.
Urinary tract infections (UTI) caused by susceptible strains associated with prostatitis or epididymitis.
Respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible strains.

Intended for:
Cats and dogs.

Method of administration:
Oral administration.

Presentation:
Blister of 10 tablets.

Dosage:
The recommended dose is 2 mg/kg/day (1 tablet per 5 kg per day) in a single administration per day.
Cats:
For skin and soft tissue infections the duration of treatment is between 3 and 5 days.
For upper respiratory tract infections the duration of treatment is 5 days.
Dogs:
For skin and soft tissue infections the duration of treatment is at least 5 days.
For urinary tract infections the duration of treatment is at least 10 days.
For respiratory infections the duration of treatment is at least 7 days.

Cats and dogs 1 – 2.5 kg – ½ tablet
Cats and dogs 2.5 – 5 kg – 1 tablet
Cats and dogs 5.1 – 7.5 kg – 1 + ½ tablet
Dogs 7.6 – 10 kg – 2 tablets

Possible adverse effects:
Very rarely, minor side effects that do not require discontinuation of treatment may occur, such as vomiting, loose stools, changes in thirst or increased activity of the bowels. These symptoms resolve spontaneously after treatment.

Precautions:
The chewable tablets are flavored. To avoid accidental ingestion, keep the tablets out of reach of animals.
Fluoroquinolones have been shown to induce erosion of articular cartilage in young puppies and care must be taken to ensure accurate dosing, especially in young animals.
Fluoroquinolones are recommended for the treatment of clinical cases that are difficult to respond to or have a poor response to treatment with other classes of antimicrobials.

Storage:
Store in a dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight, at temperatures up to 25°C.
