Name:
· HemoVet – 60 tablets
Manufacturer:
· VetExpert
Description:
· Uniquely designed for anemic dogs, the product contains the key substances needed for hematopoiesis.
· It can be administered to support treatment for Babesia canis, regenerative anemia, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, as well as to support recovery after splenectomy.
· It supports bone marrow function, provides easily assimilated heme iron, stimulates the formation of red blood cells and reduces recovery time.
Ingredients:
· Hemic Iron 30 mg
· Copper 6 mg (Chelating Agent)
· Vitamin B6 0.6 mg
· Vitamin B12 0.01 mg
· Folic Acid 0.03 mg
· Vitamin C 30 mg.
Key benefits:
· The main function of Iron in the body is to stimulate the production of hemoglobin and myoglobin, crucial elements in the transport of oxygen. It also plays a vital role in the functions of many enzymes, including cytochromes.
· The most serious consequence of iron deficiency in the body is anemia. The organic iron content in the heme form is the easiest form to absorb, as it has a high bioavailability compared to non–organic iron.
· Copper is part of two enzymes, ceruloplasmin and a ferroxase (hephaestin), respectively, which have the ability to oxidize iron to the form necessary to be transported from the place of production to red blood cells. The role of copper in the process of red blood cell formation is also confirmed by the fact that in the case of copper insufficiency in the body, the mobilization of iron from the storage organs is impaired, which leads to a deceleration of the production of red blood cells.
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal) is used as a co–enzyme in the body, mainly in the form of phosphate. Pyridoxal phosphate participates in the process of producing HEM (the main component of hemoglobin).
· Folic acid is important in the production of red blood cells, but to ensure this process in the body, there must be a sufficient amount of Vitamin B12 (cobalamin).
· Deficiency in these vitamins (B12 and B6) causes DNA production to deteriorate in intensely dividing cells in the bone marrow, resulting in the production of large, immature red blood cells containing insufficient hemoglobin.
