INDICATIONS
Tetracycline is an antibiotic with a bacteriostatic effect against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. tetracycline acts bacteriostatically, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins by reversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria.
Erythromycin is an antibiotic of the macrolide group with bacteriostatic effect against Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcuss, Streptococcus sp.), Mycoplasma sp., Ricketsia sp. Erythromycin acts bacteriostatically, inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins by reversibly binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of bacteria.
Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with bactericidal effect against Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Brucella abortus) and Gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp). neomycin irreversibly binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, causing inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis and cell death.
Prednisolone, delta-1-hydrocortisone, has anti-inflammatory, lymphocytic and hepatic glycogenesis action. Prednisolone is used as an anti-inflammatory and antiallergic.
Through the 3 antibiotics it contains, Mibazon is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Mycoplasma sp., Ricketsia sp., involved in skin infections, eye and mammary gland infections. Mibazon is indicated for the treatment of skin conditions (abscesses, fistulas, wounds), keratitis, blepharitis, conjunctivitis and mastitis produced by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria sensitive to tetracycline, erythromycin and neomycin in cattle, dogs and cats. Prednisolone acts as an anti-inflammatory and promotes the penetration of the three antibiotics into the affected tissues.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Treatment of skin conditions in cattle, dogs and cats: on the affected area, cleaned and disinfected beforehand, a thin and continuous layer of Mibazon is applied 2-3 times / day, depending on the severity of the case, until healing.
Mibazon 36 g – Ointment is used in the treatment of eye infections in cattle, dogs and cats: the ointment is introduced into the conjunctival sac 1-3 times / day, depending on the severity of the case, until healing.
Treatment of mastitis in cows: 1/6 of the contents of the ointment tube is introduced, with the help of the almond, through the milk duct, into the affected compartments, which have been previously milked and cleaned with a disinfectant solution. Massage the udder and do not milk it for 24 hours, after which the treatment is repeated, using a new alloy in the tube with ointment.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION
For the successful treatment of mastitis in cows, the following procedure must be followed: sick animals are isolated from healthy ones and hygiene measures are taken.
Disinfect the udder of the sick animal and the hands of the milker before milking.
Keep the tube in warm water, 35–40ºC, before use, for easier introduction of the medicine. Alonja is sterilized by boiling.
The affected quarters must be milked after milking the healthy quarters, and the milk will be collected separately and will not be used in human nutrition or animal feed.
Adapt the polyethylene halo to the medicine tube. By easy handling, in order to avoid injuring the mucosa, insert the lark through the nipple hole and press the tube until 1/6 of its contents are deposited as much as possible towards the base. Remove the hazelnut and place it in a bowl with disinfectant and then destroy it. Gently massage the udder after the introduction of the drug. If the treatment was applied early, 2 administrations of Mibazon are usually sufficient for healing. In the case of chronic mastitis, it is recommended to continue the treatment for 3–4 days.
In more severe cases, it is recommended to combine it with antibiotic or sulfonamide treatments in general.
WAITING PERIOD
Meat – 28 days, milk – 7 days from the last administration.
