Procto-Glyvenol, 400 mg + 40 mg, 10 suppositories

Indications:
Procto-Glyvenol is used for the local treatment of external and internal hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are inflammations of the veins in the rectum or anal area that cause local pain, stinging and itching.

Tribenoside acts locally on the causes of inflammation in small blood vessels.
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that quickly soothes itching, stinging and pain caused by hemorrhoids.

Contraindications:
Do not use Procto-Glyvenol:
-if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tribenoside, lidocaine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Procto-Glyvenol, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

You should not use Procto–Glyvenol during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
You can use Procto–Glyvenol from the 4th month of pregnancy or when you are breast–feeding, but only on the doctor‘s recommendation; Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Driving and using machines:
Procto–Glyvenol does not affect the ability to drive and operate machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as told by your doctor. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

When symptoms are acute:
Use a suppository 2 times a day (once in the morning and once in the evening).

When symptoms have resolved:
Use a suppository once a day.

How long you should use Procto-Glyvenol:
You should use Procto-Glyvenol until your symptoms subside.
If symptoms persist for more than a week, you should see your doctor.

Composition:
– The active substances are tribenoside and lidocaine. One suppository contains 400 mg of tribioside and 40 mg of lidocaine.
– The other ingredients are: solid semi-synthetic glycerides no.1 (Witepsol E85) and solid semi-synthetic glycerides no.2 (Witepsol W35).
