FUROGAL T, tablets for birds (chickens, turkeys, chickens and turkeys, pheasants).
STATEMENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES AND OTHER INGREDIENTS:

Active substances:
Tylosine tartrate …… 12 mg
Sulfadimethoxine …… 16 mg
INDICATIONS:
The product FUROGAL T is recommended for the prevention (in flocks where the diagnosis has been confirmed) and treatment of primary and secondary bacterial, respiratory and digestive infections caused by germs sensitive to the action of tylosinel and sulfadimethoxine in chickens, turkeys, chickens and turkeys, pheasants and in the treatment of coccidiosis in target species.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer to birds producing eggs for human consumption. Do not administer to birds with hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
In general, sulfonamides are slightly toxic.
If serious reactions or other effects not mentioned in the product leaflet are observed, inform your veterinarian.
TARGET SPECIES:
Birds: chickens, turkeys, chickens, turkey poults and pheasants.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
The product is administered orally, either individually or by incorporating the crushed tablets into the concentrated feed:
– chickens and turkeys: 1 tablet/chicken/day, for 3-5 days.
– chickens, turkeys: 2 tablets/bird/day, for 3-5 days.
– pheasants: 1 tablet/pheasant/day, for 3 days.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:
Strictly follow the recommended doses.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S):
Meat and offal – 5 days.
Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Special precautions for use in animals:
The use of the product should be based on susceptibility testing of bacteria isolated from animals. If this is not possible, treatment should be based on epidemiological information (regional, farm level) on the susceptibility of the target bacteria. Use of the product deviating from the instructions given in the SPC may increase the prevalence of bacteria resistant to the active substances and may reduce the effectiveness of treatment with other antimicrobials due to the potential for cross-resistance. Official, national and regional antimicrobial policies should be followed when using the product.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
People with known hypersensitivity to the active substances should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice and show the package leaflet or the label. Wash hands after use.

Interactions with other medicinal products or other forms of interaction:
Sulfamides are antagonists with substances that release paraaminobenzoic acid through hydrolysis (aniline derivatives, anestezin, procaine), with folic acid, vitamin PP, brewer’s yeast (bacterial growth factors), methionine, peptone, boric acid.
Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), as appropriate:
In general, sulfonamides are slightly toxic. The minimum lethal doses reach 0.2-0.4% of body weight. However, cases of poisoning may also occur when therapeutic doses are exceeded and treatment is prolonged.
Incompatibilities:
Sulfamides are antagonists with substances that release paraaminobenzoic acid through hydrolysis (aniline derivatives, anestezin, procaine), with folic acid, vitamin PP, brewer’s yeast (bacterial growth factors), methionine, peptone, boric acid. In the absence of compatibility studies, this veterinary medicinal product should not be mixed with other veterinary medicinal products.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY:
Medicinal products should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from the use of such products should be disposed of in accordance with local requirements. Treated animals should be kept in shelters throughout the treatment period and their droppings should be collected and NOT used for soil fertilisation.
