SPECIAL WARNINGS:
Special warnings for each target species:
The following practices should be avoided as they may increase the risk of resistance development and may ultimately result in ineffective treatment:
– too frequent and repeated use of anthelmintics from the same class for a long period of time;
– underdosing, which may be caused by underestimation of body weight.
Clinical cases suspected of resistance to anthelmintics should be investigated by appropriate methods (ovocoproscopy, etc.). If the test results clearly indicate the establishment of resistance to a particular anthelmintic, another anthelmintic from a different pharmacological class and with a different mode of action should be used. It is advisable that deworming is initiated after performing coproparasitological examinations, corroborated with clinical examinations. If this is not possible, treatment should be carried out based on local epidemiological information (farm, region) regarding the sensitivity of the helminths.
Special precautions for use in animals:
None.
