Phlebodia is a venotonic and vasoprotective medicine. It increases the tone of the veins and the resistance of the capillaries (small blood vessels). This medicine is used in adults as a short-term treatment to relieve symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency (poor venous blood circulation).
Composition: The active substance is diosmin. One film-coated tablet contains 600 mg of diosmin. The other components are: nucleus – microcrystalline cellulose, talc, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, micronized stearic acid; film-: hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, macrogol 8 stearate type I, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide (E171), cosenyl red A aluminum lake (E124), black iron oxide (E172), red iron oxide (E172), Carnauba wax, white shellac beeswax, anhydrous ethanol.
Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Doses:
Adults (18 years of age or older): The recommended dose is 1 film-coated tablet per day, in the morning before breakfast.
If you use more Phlebodia than you should: If you take more Phlebodia than recommended, or if a child accidentally takes this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. No cases of diosmin overdose have been reported.
If you have any further questions about this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
Precautions:
Before using Phlebodia, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use Phlebodia if you are allergic to diosmin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding, and fertility: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for recommendations before taking this medication.
Pregnancy: You should not use Phlebodia if you are pregnant unless recommended by your doctor.
Breast–feeding: It is not known if this medicine passes into breast milk. Phlebodia is not recommended during breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines: No effects of diosmine on the ability to drive and use machines have been reported.
