What is Cyclo 3 Fort and what is it used for
Cyclo 3 Fort is a combination of three active substances: dry extract of ruscus aculeatus, hesperidin methyl calcona, ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Cyclo 3 Fort is part of a group of medicines called capillary stabilising agents (cardiovascular system). This drug is a venotonic agent and a protective vascular agent (increases venous tonicity and capillary resistance and reduces vascular permeability).
Cyclo 3 Fort – indications for use in adults:
-Treatment of symptoms caused by venolymphatic insufficiency (heavy leg syndrome, pain, irritation).
-Treatment of functional signs related to hemorrhoidal crises.
How to take Cyclo 3 Fort
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as told by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is:
– for venous circulatory disorders: 2 to 3 capsules per day.
– for the treatment of hemorrhoidal crises: 4 to 5 capsules per day.
This medicine is taken orally. The capsules should be swallowed whole with water.
Usual duration of therapy:
For venous circulatory disorders: if the vascular discomfort and/or fragility has not improved after two weeks of treatment, contact your doctor.
For the treatment of hemorrhoidal crises: treatment should be short-lived. If hemorrhoidal disorders persist after a few days of treatment (no more than a week), it is essential to contact your doctor.
Use in children and adolescents: not applicable.
If you take more Cyclo 3 Fort than you should
Excessive doses of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) (a component of Cyclo 3 Fort) may cause hemolytic anemia in patients with G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) enzyme deficiency. Consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to take Cyclo 3 Fort
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although they do not occur in all people. The side effects that can occur are:
– Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): diarrhoea, sometimes severe, quickly reversible when treatment is discontinued; abdominal pain.
– Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): insomnia (difficulty sleeping), indigestion (functional digestive disorder), nausea, erythema (redness of the skin), pruritus (itching), muscle spasms, pain in the extremities (hands and/or feet).
– Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1000 people): nervousness, vertigo, cold extremities (cold in the hands and/or feet), venous pain (sensitive vein), gastrointestinal disorders,Aphthous stomatitis (inflammation of the oral cavity with the presence of vesicles), increased alanine aminotransferase (increase in liver biological parameters).
– With unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): gastric pain; maculopapular rash (reddening of the skin) and uticaria (inflammation of red plaque lesions associated with itching); Colitis (inflammation of the colon) reversible upon discontinuation of treatment.
