Quick Bayt 2Extra WG 10 is an insecticide designed to combat adult flies, with imidacloprid as the active substance. Imidacloprid is a second-generation neonicotinoid that acts on acetylcholine receptors in the post-synaptic membrane. Formulated as water-dispersible granules, Quick Bay Spray WG 10 acts differently from classic insecticides (organophosphorus, carbamates or pyrethroids). The phenomenon of cross-resistance of flies, which can develop over time to the three categories of insecticides mentioned, is excluded from the start.

The attractant of Quick Bayt 2Extra WG 10 insecticide is extremely tempting for flies. In addition to the active substance imidalocloprid, Bayer has also introduced tricocene, a sexual pheromone stimulant, onto the market. Quick Bayt insecticide also contains sweet food attractants, based on sugar: the fly is thus attracted to the treated surface and pushed to consume the product. The knock-down effect is fast and spectacular. The working substance is obtained by diluting Quick Bayt Spray with water, and the application is made residually. The residual application is made on surfaces where flies usually stay: on walls, on window frames, on support posts and generally where the sun reaches. Flies are instinctively attracted by the attractant: only 30-35% of the surface that is desired to be protected is treated. Flies are attracted from significant distances (10-20 m) to taste the product.

Quick Bayt 2Extra WG 10 is particularly recommended in the zootechnical sector, on animal farms. It can also be used for storage areas of various animal products that attract flies. It has a remarkable persistence, up to 12 weeks, provided that the treated surface is refreshed periodically, by stopping with water.

The application dose is 62.5-150 g of Quick Bayt Spray WG 10 in 1-1.5 L of water. This dilution is sufficient for 100-150 sq m of treated surface.
