Rheumocam, oral solution for cats, 0.5 mg/ml, 15 ml

Rheumocam 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension is for the relief of mild to moderate post-operative pain and inflammation following surgical procedures such as orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery
Rheumocam can also be used for the relief of pain and inflammation in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders in cats.

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION

One ml contains:

Active substances: Meloxicam 0.5 mg

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM: Oral suspension.

Indications for use, specifying the target species:

Relief of inflammation and pain in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders;
Oral use;
Postoperative pain and inflammation following surgical procedures: After initial treatment with Rheumocam 5 mg/ml solution for injection for cats, continue treatment after 24 hours with Rheumocam 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension for cats at a dose of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight. The oral follow-up dose may be administered once daily (every 24 hours) for up to four days;
Acute musculoskeletal disorders: Initial treatment is a single oral dose of 0.2 mg meloxicam/kg body weight on the first day. Treatment should be continued once daily by oral administration (every 24 hours) at a dose of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight as long as acute pain and inflammation persist;
Chronic musculoskeletal disorders: Initial treatment is a single oral dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight on the first day. Treatment should be continued once daily by oral administration (at 24-hour intervals) at a maintenance dose of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight. A clinical response is usually visible within 7 days. Treatment should be discontinued after 14 days if no clinical improvement is evident;
Route and method of administration: The syringe is adaptable to the dropper of the bottle and has a graduated scale in kg body weight corresponding to the maintenance dose (i.e. 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight). Thus, to initiate treatment on the first day, a volume twice that of the maintenance dose will be required.
