Rycarfa Flavour – veterinary medicinal product in tablet form for the treatment of inflammation, pain and degenerative joint diseases in dogs
Active substance: Carprofen – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic effect

Indications:
Dogs:
– tablets:- reduction of inflammation and pain caused by musculoskeletal disorders and degenerative joint diseases in the post-operative period, after parenteral analgesia
Presentation:
– Rycarfa 20 mg – 20 palatable tablets for dogs.
– Rycarfa 50 mg – 20 palatable tablets for dogs.
– Rycarfa 100 mg – 20 palatable tablets for dogs.
Recommended dosage:
– tablets: 2 – 4 mg carprofen /kg body weight, administered once or in two equal doses
Administration:
Tablets
– oral administration from 10 weeks of age
– the recommended initial daily dose is 2 to 4 mg carprofen per kg body weight, administered once or divided into two equal doses.
– after a 7-day treatment period, depending on the clinical response, the dose may be reduced to 2 mg carprofen per kg body weight per day, in a single administration
– the duration of treatment depends on the clinical response
– after a 14-day treatment period, the veterinarian should reassess the clinical condition of the dog
– in the post-operative period, to extend the analgesic effect, parenteral treatment with injectable solution may be followed by oral administration of tablets, at a dose of 4 mg/kg body weight per day, for a period of up to 5 days
Use in elderly dogs may cause additional risks
If treatment is absolutely necessary, dose adjustment and close clinical monitoring may be necessary
It is recommended to avoid using the drug in dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive animals, due to the potential risk of increased renal toxicity
The product should not be used in dogs during pregnancy or lactation
