External antiparasitic for cats Vectra Felis, 3 pipettes, Ceva Sante
Properties:
– kills fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) on infested cats and prevents subsequent infestations for a period of one month;
– prevents flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of larvae in the cats’ living environment for a period of 3 months;
– the product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea allergic dermatitis (DAP) in cats.
Administration method:
Treatment doses are between 42.3mg and 705mg dinotefuran/kg live weight and between 4.23mg and 70.5mg pyriproxyfen/kg live weight for cats weighing between 0.6 kg and 10 kg live weight.
Spot-on administration (for external use only).
Composition:
One Vectra Felis spot-on applicator (0.9ml) contains:
Dinotefuran……………423mg
Pyriproxyfen………….42.30mg
This medicinal product is a spot-on solution, packaged in single-use spot-on applicators.
Precautions:
Care must be taken to apply the veterinary medicinal product to intact skin.
After a single administration, the veterinary medicinal product will prevent infestation for one month.
Care must be taken to ensure that the applied dose, or the contents of the applicator, do not come into contact with the eyes of the treated animal or other animals.
Care must be taken to apply the dose to an area where the animal cannot lick itself and care must be taken to ensure that animals do not clean each other immediately after treatment.
After administering the product, hand washing is recommended.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not mix with other medicinal products and do not apply together with other veterinary medicinal products at the same time and in the same place.
Do not use in cats weighing less than 0.6 kg.
The safety of the veterinary medicinal product has not been established during pregnancy and lactation in cats.
Do not use in dogs!
Adverse reactions:
Slight scaling, erythema and transient alopecia have been reported very rarely, which usually resolve spontaneously without treatment.
Some transient cosmetic effects (wet and spiky appearance of the hair, white residues) have also been reported at the application site and may persist for up to 7 days; however, these effects are usually no longer observed after 48 hours.
These changes do not affect the health or efficacy of the veterinary medicinal product.
After accidental ingestion of the veterinary medicinal product, transient reactions such as vomiting, salivation and diarrhoea may occur.
However, these signs disappear without the need for any treatment within 4 hours.
