Description:
Antibiotic product for dogs and cats containing Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) Clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate).
Ingredients:
Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) 50.00 mg
Clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate) 12.50 mg
Excipients: Pork liver flavor, Yeast, Crospovidone, Hypromellose, Microcrystalline cellulose, Colloidal anhydrous silica, Magnesium stearate.
Key benefits:
For the treatment of the following infections caused by B lactamase-producing bacteria, susceptible to amoxicillin combined with clavulanic acid and for which clinical experience and/or susceptibility testing indicate this product as the drug of choice:
– Skin infections (including superficial and deep pyoderma) associated with Staphylococcus spp.
– Urinary tract infections associated with Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis.
– Respiratory tract infections associated with Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp and Pasteurella spp.
– Digestive tract infections associated with Escherichia coli.
– Oral cavity (mucous membrane) infections associated with Pasteurella spp, Streptococcus spp, Escherichia coli.

Dogs and cats.
Method of administration:
Oral administration.
Presentation form:
Blister of 10 chewable tablets.
Dosage:
The recommended dose is 10 mg amoxicillin / 2.5 mg clavulanic acid / kg body weight, twice daily, orally in dogs and cats (i.e. 1 tablet per 5 kg body weight every 12 hours):

In refractory cases, the dose may be increased to 20 mg amoxicillin / 5 mg clavulanic acid / kg body weight twice daily, as directed by the veterinarian.
The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 7 days.
For chronic cases, a longer duration of treatment is recommended. In these cases, the duration of treatment depends on the opinion of the veterinarian, but should be long enough to ensure the resolution of the bacterial disease.
Possible adverse effects:
In rare cases, vomiting and diarrhea have been observed.
Precautions:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance, penicillin or to any of the excipients;
Do not use in animals with serious kidney dysfunction accompanied by anuria and oliguria;
Do not administer to rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, horses or ruminants.
Storage:
Store in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight, at temperatures up to 25°C.
In case of overdose:
An overdose may cause diarrhea, allergic reactions and other symptoms such as excitatory manifestations of the central nervous system and cramps.
In case of overdose, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
