MARBOX 100 rag/ml solution for injection for cattle and pigs
ACTIVE SUBSTANCE:
Each ml contains: Marbofloxacin …………….. 100 mg Clear, yellow solution.
INDICATIONS:
Cattle Treatment of respiratory diseases caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolylica and Histophiius somni. Treatment of acute mastitis caused by marbofloxacin-sensitive strains of E. coli during lactation. Sows Treatment of MMA syndrome (metritis-mastitis-agalactia) caused by bacterial strains susceptible to marbofloxacin.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals susceptible to marbofloxacin or other quinolones.
Do not use in cases where the pathogens involved are resistant to other fluoroquinolones (cross-resistance).
SIDE EFFECTS:
Intramuscular administration may cause transient reactions at the injection site in cattle, such as pain and mild muscle damage of an inflammatory nature (causing fibrosis). Subcutaneous administration may induce mild to moderate edema at the site of some animals, slight pain may occur on palpation of the injected site. In pigs, intramuscular administration may induce mild, transient inflammatory oedema at the injection site that may persist for up to 12 days after the date of injection. Injections should be made in the neck area, both in cattle and pigs. No other adverse reactions were observed in cattle and pigs. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects that are not mentioned in the leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Cattle:
Intramuscular administration
– Respiratory disorders The recommended dosage is 8 mg/kg body weight, which corresponds to 2 ml/25 kg body weight, in a single intramuscular injection. If the volume administered is greater than 20 ml, it should be administered in two or more places.
Subcutaneous administration
– Acute mastitis The recommended dosage is 2 mg/kg body weight, which corresponds to 1 ml/50 kg body weight, in a single daily injection for 3 days The first injection can also be administered intravenously.
Sows
Intramuscular administration: The recommended dosage is 2 mg/kg body weight, which corresponds to 2 ml/50 kg body weight, in a single intramuscular injection, daily for 3 days.
