Injectable emulsion
Cardio-respiratory analeptic, pulmonary antiseptic, bronchial secretion fluidifier
Composition
Active substances: Menthol 5g/100 ml; Camphor 2g/100 ml; Caffeine 5g/100 ml; Sodium benzoate 5g/100 ml
Excipient (sunflower oil, distilled water) ad. 100 ml
Pharmacological action
Caffeine and camphor are cardio-respiratory analeptics, which act synergistically.
Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, increasing the body’s resistance; menthol and sodium benzoate act as pulmonary antiseptics, reducing and fluidifying bronchial secretion.
Target species
Dogs, cats and racing and ornamental pigeons.
Indications
It is used in states of exhaustion, in convalescence, in toxic states, after dystocia calvings, in cardio-respiratory insufficiency in dogs, cats and racing and ornamental pigeons.
Contraindications
It is not administered in states of agitation, in tachycardia and in strychnine poisoning.
It is not administered in pigeons intended for human consumption.

Method of administration
The product is injected intramuscularly or subcutaneously in a daily dose of: 0.5 ml (cat) or 1–2 ml (dog). It can be associated with vitamins, antibiotics, glucose, etc. when the clinical evolution requires it.
In pigeons it is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly as follows: in chicks 0.1-0.2 ml, and in adults 0.3 ml.
Warnings
The weight of the animals should be estimated correctly to avoid underdosing or overdose.
Shake the PNEUMOGUARD bottle well before administration
Do not administer intravenously.
Do not administer with caffeine.
