Synulox , for dogs and Cats, 10 tablets

Each Synulox 50 mg tablet contains:

40 mg Amoxicillin + 10 mg Clavulanic Acid

Resistance to many antibiotics is produced by beta-lactamases, enzymes that inactivate the antibiotic before it can act on bacteria.
The clavulanic acid in SYNULOX neutralizes this defense mechanism of bacteria by inactivating beta-lactamase, and microorganisms become sensitive to the rapid bactericidal effect of amoxycillin, in concentrations easily achievable in the body.
It acts against a wide range of bacteria, such as:

Staphylococcus spp. (including beta-lactamase-producing strains);
Escherichia coli (including beta-lactamase-producing strains);
Salmonella spp. (including beta-lactamase-producing strains);
Pasteurella spp. (including beta-lactamase-producing strains);
Bacteroides (including beta-lactamase-producing strains);
Haemophillus spp.;
Bordetella bronchiseptica;
Campylobacter spp.;
Klebsiella;
Proteus spp.;
Streptococci;
Corynebacterium spp.;
Clostridium spp.;
Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Indications

From a clinical point of view, Synulox has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of diseases in dogs and cats, such as:

skin diseases (in deep and superficial pyoderma);
genitourinary infections;
respiratory diseases (infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract);
enteritis;
oral cavity infections;
soft tissue infections;
osteo-articular infections.
Administration and dosage

Administration is done orally.

Dose 12.5 mg / kg body weight.

Dosage frequency – according to the following model:

1 – 3 kg, ½ Synulox 50 mg tablet
3 – 5 kg, 1 Synulox 50 mg tablet
6 – 9 kg, 2 Synulox 50 mg tablets
10 – 13 kg, 3 Synulox 50 mg tablets
14 – 18 kg, 4 Synulox 50 mg tablets
19 – 25 kg, 1 Synulox 250 mg tablet
26 – 35 kg, 2 Synulox 250 mg tablets
36 – 49 kg, 2 Synulox 250 mg tablets
50 kg, 3 Synulox 250 mg tablets
In refractory cases, especially respiratory tract infections, the dose is doubled to 25 mg / kg body weight, 2 times a day.

Duration of therapy:

routine cases in all indicated diseases – therapy 5-7 days;
chronic or refractory cases – the following treatment durations are suggested:
chronic skin diseases – 10-20 days
chronic cystitis – 10-28 days
respiratory diseases – 8-10 days
Contraindications, precautions:

Do not administer to rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters.
Use with caution in any other small herbivore.
