Romigal , 100 tablets

ROMIGAL 100 Tablets – Broad-spectrum antimicrobial for the prevention and control of primary and secondary bacterial infections of the digestive, respiratory and urinary tract in birds.

COMPOSITION One 100 mg tablet contains:

Active substances: Ampicillin trihydrate 5 mg; Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 5 mg; “Romvac 3” polyvitamin complex 12.5 mg; Complex B 8.3 mg;
Excipients (lactose, starch, PVP K30, CMC, aerosil, talc, avicel, magnesium stearate) per 100 mg.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

Ampicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin with a broad spectrum and low toxicity, which acts on germs sensitive to benzylpenicillin. It is active against Gram-positive germs (staphylococci, streptococci) and Gram-negative germs (colibacilli, salmonella, Proteus spp., etc.). After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract, reaching therapeutic levels in the blood, lungs, heart and bile after about 30 minutes. The elimination of the substance from the body is entirely in the active form, via the kidneys and bile.
Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic with bacteriostatic action. The antimicrobial action is exerted by inhibiting protein synthesis, being more active in the growth and active metabolism phases of the bacterial cell. The spectrum of activity is very wide and includes cocci, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacilli, spirochetes, rickettsiae, large viruses. Vitamins have a biostimulating action, leading to increased feed utilization efficiency and resistance to disease.
TARGET SPECIES: Birds (chicken, turkey, guinea fowl, quail, pheasant, peacock, goose, duck, pigeon).

INDICATIONS: Romigal is intended for birds starting from the very first day of life, for the prevention and control of primary and secondary bacterial infections of the digestive, respiratory, urinary tract.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not administer to birds that produce eggs for human consumption.

MODEL OF ADMINISTRATION

The product is administered orally as follows:

in chicks starting from one day of age: 1/2 tablet/chick/day, for 3 consecutive days;
in chicks aged between 2-4 weeks: 1 tablet/chick/day, for 5-7 consecutive days;
in older chicks and adult birds: 2 tablets/kg body weight/day, for 5-7 consecutive days, depending on the evolution of the disease.
WARNINGS: The product is not administered together with other antibiotics.

WITHDRAWAL TIME Meat: 28 days from the last treatment.
