Clotrimazole MCC, 100 mg, 12 vaginal tablets, Magistra

Indications:
CLOTRIMAZOL MCC vaginal tablets belong to the group of medicines called imidazole derivatives, which are used for the treatment of fungal infections.
CLOTRIMAZOL MCC 100 mg vaginal tablets are used for the local treatment of
– vaginal infections caused by fungi (especially Candida);
– trichomoniasis;
– vaginal superinfections caused by bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole.
For the complete cure of infections diagnosed as being caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, oral treatment with an antitrichomoniasis drug must be carried out concurrently.

Contraindications:
Do not use CLOTRIMAZOL MCC:
– if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using CLOTRIMAZOL MCC, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In these cases, Clotrimazole MCC should be used with caution and only if your doctor considers that the benefits of treatment outweigh the risk to the fetus.

Driving and using machines:
Clotrimazole MCC vaginal tablets have no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.CLOTRIMAZOL MCC is administered vaginally.

Dosage:
1 vaginal tablet CLOTRIMAZOL MCC (100 mg clotrimazole) per day for 6 consecutive days or 2 vaginal tablets CLOTRIMAZOL MCC (200 mg clotrimazole) per day for 3 consecutive days.
Preferably, the tablets are taken in the evening, before going to bed.
If necessary, the treatment can be repeated.
If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, the patient may have a condition that requires treatment recommended by the doctor.

Method of administration:
Insert the Clorimazole MCC tablet into the vagina as deeply as possible. The vaginal tablet is inserted while lying on your back, with your legs apart and slightly bent. It is recommended to use the fingers of a disposable glove.
Clorimazole MCC vaginal tablets require a moist intravaginal environment to dissolve completely.
Otherwise, undissolved fragments may fall out of the vagina. To prevent non-dissolution, the vaginal tablets
Clorimazol MCC should be inserted into the vagina as deeply as possible, at bedtime.

Do not use the vaginal tablets Clorimazol MCC during menstruation because they can be eliminated from the vagina with the blood flow.
Do not use tampons, intravaginal douches, spermicides or other vaginal products while using Clotrimazol MCC.
While taking Clotrimazol MCC, it is recommended to avoid sexual contact, because the infection could be transmitted to the partner, and the effectiveness and safety of latex products (such as condoms, diaphragms) may be reduced.

Composition:
– The active substance is clotrimazole. Each vaginal tablet contains 100 mg of clotrimazole.
– The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium hydrogen carbonate, tartaric acid, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide.
