Cystistat is recommended for temporary replacement of the glycosaminoglycan (GAG) layer in the bladder lining. This layer provides a protective barrier against microorganisms, carcinogens, crystals and other agents present in the urine. The degradation of this GAG layer can destroy its barrier function and allow bacteria, microcrystals, proteins and ions to adhere. The GAG layer of the bladder is deficient in cystitis: interstitial cystitis, cystitis following radiation, infection, trauma, urinary lithiasis, urinary retention or neoplasia. To relieve cystitis associated with such a clinical picture, it is recommended to instill Cystistat in the bladder once a week for 4 to 12 weeks, then once a month until symptoms disappear. The use of Cystistat for prophylactic purposes should be done under the supervision of a urologist or radiologist.

The active substance is the sodium salt of high-purity hyaluronic acid. Each vial of Cystistat contains 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate.

This product is a medical device. How to use: Instill all the solution in the bladder after the discharge of residual urine. Any remaining unused solution is thrown away. To get the best results, Cystistat should be retained for as long as possible (at least 30 minutes) in the bladder.
