Broad-spectrum antidiarrheal and antimicrobial.

Composition
Active substances:

Metronidazole 10 g/100 g; Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 6 g/100 g; Furazolidone 2 g/100 g; Bismuth subnitrate 2 g/100 g;
Excipients (soybean, calcium carbonate) ad. 100 g.

Pharmacological action:
Through its components, ENTEROGUARD M acts selectively and synergistically on various etiological agents that affect the gastrointestinal mucosa and disrupt intestinal transit.
Metronidazole is active against flagellated protozoa and against Serpulina hyodysenteriae.
Oxytetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria.
Furazolidone is a chemotherapeutic agent with bacteriostatic action especially for Salmonella sp. and E. coli.
Bismuth subnitrate is antiseptic, gradually releasing bismuth with absorbent, astringent, protective and soothing action, forming gastrointestinal dressings. It has antidiarrheal action, combining with intestinal hydrogen sulfide (which is an excitant of intestinal motility).

Target species:
Dogs, cats, minks, ferrets and cage and aviary birds (budgies, parrots, bottlenose dolphins, peacocks, pheasants, quails, pigeons and ornamental chickens).

Indications:
Treatment of primary and secondary enteropathies, caused by bacteria and protozoa in dogs, cats, minks, ferrets, cage and aviary birds (homing and ornamental pigeons, canaries, parrots, peacocks), as well as in enteropathies of unspecified etiology.

Contraindications
The administration of ENTEROGUARD M powder is prohibited in chickens under 4 weeks of age.

Adverse reactions
None have been observed

Administration method
Dogs, cats, minks, ferrets are administered 10 g/10 kg of food/day, for 5-7 days. In anorexic animals, the product is administered individually, in the form of a suspension (drink) in water or tea in an amount of 0.5-1 g of product/kg of body weight, for 3-5 days.
In canaries, parrots, peacocks and pigeons, 1 g of product/kg of food is administered preventively, for 3-5 consecutive days. The curative treatment consists of administering 2 g of product/kg of food, for 5-6 days.

Warnings
A good homogenization of the product with the feed will be ensured.
In birds, the dose of the drug is homogenized with powdered sugar and mixed with slightly moistened food, especially when seeds are used.
Sugar contributes to the correction of taste and the adhesion of the drug to the seeds.
Do not combine with coccidiostats such as Zoalena and Amprolium.
The product is not administered to birds intended for human consumption.
