What Fiobilin is and what it is used for
Fiobilin contains an active substance called dehydrocholic acid and belongs to the group of medicines called preparations containing bile acids. It is recommended in the following conditions:
– Chronic cholecystitis – inflammatory damage to the gallbladder
– Biliary dyskinesia – disorder of the functioning of the gallbladder
– Chronic constipation caused by the liver
– Migraines and convalescence after acute hepatitis A virus (epidemic).
How to take Fiobilin
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as told by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults: 1-2 Fiobilin 250 mg tablets, 3 times a day, after meals, for 15 days.
Children and adolescents: 7-15 years, 1-2 Fiobilin tablets 250 mg per day.
If you take more Fiobilin than you should
Contact your doctor or pharmacist. Vomiting may occur, changes in the level of ions in the blood, which in some cases may require hospitalization.
If you forget to take Fiobilin
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although they do not occur in all people.
The following side effects have been reported with Fiobilin: chest pain (epigastric pain), excess gas in the abdomen, diarrhoea, irritation of the lining of the rectum, decreased blood potassium levels, irritability, confusion, headache, rash, difficulty breathing, irregular and strong heartbeat (palpitations), muscle cramps, fatigue, weakness.
