NAABAK belongs to the group of drugs known as antiallergic drugs and is recommended for the treatment of ocular symptoms of allergic origin (conjunctivitis and blepharoconjunctivitis).
Ingredients: The active substance is sodium isospallumate. One ml of ophthalmic solution contains sodium isospallumate 49 mg The other ingredients are: Sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid, water for injections.
Method of administration: Topical application. Ocular instillation.
To ensure the proper use of these eye drops, certain precautions should be taken:
Wash your hands thoroughly before administration.
Make sure not to touch the eye or eyelids with the tip of the dropper bottle. Instill a drop of solution into the conjunctival sac, gently pulling the lower eyelid down and looking up.
The interval until a drop appears is longer than in regular eye drop bottles. Close the bottle after use.
Frequency of administration: Generally 2 to 6 times a day.
Duration of treatment: Even if the symptoms subside, the treatment should be continued throughout the period of allergic risk. If you use more NAABAK eye drops than you should, in case of overdose, rinse with sterile saline.
Possible side effects: Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Slight burning or stinging sensation after instillation. If any of the side effects become serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions: Do not use NAABAK:
if you are allergic to sodium isospaghlumenate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
in children under 4 years of age
Do not inject, do not swallow.
The absence of preservatives allows the use of these eye drops at the same time as contact lenses. Do not touch the eye with the tip of the dropper bottle.
In severe allergic conjunctivitis, seek the advice of your doctor.
Do not exceed the prescribed or recommended doses; Do not interrupt treatment without medical advice.
If you have any concerns about this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If you are currently using (or plan to use) other eye drops, wait 15 minutes between instillations.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Warnings:
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package. Store at temperatures below 25ºC.
Use within 3 months after the first opening of the bottle.
Do not dispose of any medication via water or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications you no longer use.
These measures will help protect the environment
Naabak eye drops is recommended for lubricating the eye in case of dry eye sensation or eye discomfort induced by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, dust, air conditioning, watching and long computer work.
