Otipax is indicated in the symptomatic local treatment of certain painful diseases of the middle ear, with the tympanic membrane intact:
acute congestive otitis;
flictenular viral otitis;
barotraumatic otitis.
Otipax contains two active substances: lidocaine (local anesthetic) and phenazone (analgesic and anti-inflammatory).
Composition:
The active substances are phenazone 44.83mg/ml and lidocaine hydrochloride 11.21mg/ml.
The other components are: sodium thiosulfate, ethanol, glycerol, purified water.
Method of administration:
The recommended dose is 4 drops of Otipax ear drops, solution, 2-3 times a day, instilled into the external auditory canal of the painful ear, by gently pressing the bottle.
To avoid unpleasant contact of the cold solution with the ear, it is recommended to gently warm the bottle in your hand before use.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: In the absence of a fissure of the eardrum, systemic absorption is unlikely. As a consequence, under normal conditions of use, this drug, if needed, can be used during pregnancy as well as during breastfeeding.

The medicine does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
