MULTISPECIES SOLUTION FOR INJECTION TYLOSIN FP 20% 100ML
TILOZIN FP, 200 mg/ml, solution for injection for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, adult chickens.
COMPOSITION:
1 ml solution for injection contains:
Active substance:
Tylosin (in tartrate form) …… 200 mg
Excipients:
Benzyl alcohol …… 41.84 mg
INDICATIONS:
It is recommended for the treatment of infections of the respiratory, digestive and genitourinary system, arthritis, polyserosis, secondary infections associated with viral diseases or postoperative infections, otitis. It is recommended in the treatment of specific diseases, such as:
– dysentery and enzootic pneumonia in pigs
– metritis, mastitis and respiratory infections in cattle
– acute forms of contagious agalactia and pleuropneumonia in sheep and goats
– leptospirosis
– respiratory infections, aerosacks in adult chickens
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to tylosin, macrolide antibiotics or any of the excipients. Do not administer to chickens and turkeys.
SIDE EFFECTS:
A slight edema may occur at the inoculation site. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.
TARGET SPECIES:
Cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, adult chickens.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
It is administered intramuscularly, daily for 3–5 days, in the following doses:
Cattle: 2.5–5 ml product/100 kg body weight (5–10 mg a.i./kg body weight), maximum 10 ml produced at the injection site
Calves: 1.5–2 ml product / 50 kg body weight (6–8 mg a.s./kg body weight), maximum 5 ml produced at the injection site
Pigs: 0.5–1 ml product / 20 kg body weight (5–10 mg a.s./kg body weight), maximum 5 ml produced at the injection site
Sheep, goats: 1 ml product/20 kg body weight (10 mg a.s./kg body weight), maximum 5 ml produced at the injection site
For sheep weighing more than 50 kg, the injection should be divided into two injection sites (maximum injectable volume of 2.5 ml per injection site).
Dogs, cats: 0.25-1 ml product /10 kg body weight (5-20 mg a.s./kg body weight)
Adult hens: 0.05-0.2 ml product/kg body weight (10-40 mg a.i./kg body weight)
In special epidemiological situations, at the indication of the veterinarian, the product can be administered in the same doses every 12 hours, for 3-5 days.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:
To ensure an appropriate dose, the weight of the animals should be correctly assessed in order to avoid underdosing or overdosing.

Meat and organs:
– cattle, goats, pigs: 8 days
– sheep: 42 days
– adult hens: 5 days
Milk:
– cattle, goats: 4 days
– sheep: 108 hours
Do not use in birds producing eggs or producing eggs for human consumption.

Special precautions for use in animals:
The use of the product must be based on testing the susceptibility of bacteria isolated from animals. If this is not possible, the therapy will have to be based on local epidemiological information on the susceptibility of the target bacteria.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:
In case of accidental self–injection, seek medical advice immediately and show the product leaflet or label to the doctor. Wash hands immediately after use. Contact with eyes should be avoided. People with known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines should avoid contact with the veterinary product.
Use during pregnancy, lactation and laying:
It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Interactions with other medicinal products or other forms of interaction:
Tylosin acts antagonistically with many other antibiotics such as: penicillin, aminoglycosides, chloramphenicol and lincosamides.
Overdose:
Tylosin is relatively safe in case of accidental overdose. In some cases, seizures may be observed. The recommended doses will not be exceeded.
Incompatibilities:
Tylosin is incompatible with sodium heparin, hydrocortisone, streptomycin and tetracyclines. Do not mix with other solutions for injection as the solution may precipitate.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE, AS APPROPRIATE:
Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste. Ask your veterinarian for information on how to dispose of medicines that are no longer needed. These measures contribute to environmental protection.
