The usual dose for cattle and pigs is 2.5 ml Enroflox 10% per 100 kg body weight (2.5 mg enrofloxacin/kg body weight). In recurrent respiratory tract infections and salmonellosis, the recommended dose is doubled: 5 mg enrofloxacin per 1kg body weight.
The product is administered to cattle s.c., to pigs i.m. Enrofloxacin is administered at the usual sites of administration, for example in pigs in the muscles of the posterior area of the ear. In salmonellosis, treatment begins with the injectable form and continues with the oral form.
The medicine is administered once every 24 hours. The duration of treatment in pigs and cattle is 2–3 days, in salmonellosis 5 days. In MMA syndrome in sows, 1–2 days of treatment are required. If no improvement in clinical signs is observed in the first 2–3 days, additional antibiograms and the possibility of changing antimicrobial therapy should be considered.
Recommendations for correct administration:
The dose applied in a single point will not exceed 5 ml in cattle, 2.5 ml in pigs and 5 ml in sows.
Enrofloxacin is administered at the usual sites of administration, for example in pigs in the muscles of the posterior area of the ear. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Normal precautions should be taken when carrying out treatment under sterile conditions.
