Clavusin Solution, 10ml, Meduman

Clavusin Solution is used in the treatment of calluses (corns).

Composition:
100 g of cutaneous solution contain salicylic acid 19.30 g, glacial acetic acid 19.30 g, and excipients: nitrocellulose glue (collodion), ethyl alcohol, acetone.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Other preparations for dermatological use, keratolytics.

Therapeutic indications:
Treatment of calluses (corns).

Contraindications
Allergy to salicylates, acetic acid or any of the excipients of the product.
Moist dermatoses, infected skin lesions, open wounds.
Application to mucous membranes. Application to the eyeball.

Precautions:
Not recommended:
-application to large body surfaces due to the risk of passing into the systemic circulation.
-application to healthy skin.
-use in children under 7 years of age.

Interactions: none known.

Special warnings
Caution is recommended when using keratolytics in patients with peripheral arteritis, diabetes mellitus or neuropathies.
In case of lack of response to treatment, reassessment of the etiology and therapeutic conduct is recommended (orthopedic measures to correct the support surfaces, footwear).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Do not apply to large skin surfaces.
Since the proportion of salicylic acid absorbed through the skin is not known, it is not recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Ability to drive or use machines
The product does not influence the ability to drive or use machines.

Dosage and administration
The cutaneous solution is applied locally by brushing, directly on the callus (wart), (without touching the surrounding healthy skin) after a preliminary foot bath with warm water. The procedure is repeated for 3 consecutive evenings, after which the peeled formations are removed. The treatment lasts until the callus (wart) is completely removed.

Adverse reactions
-Irritation of the skin when applying the product to healthy skin.
-Phenomena of local irritation and burning sensation.

Overdose: not applicable.
