Marbofloxacin
Active substance:

Indications:
Cattle:
Treatment of respiratory infections caused by species of Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Micoplasma bovis;
Treatment of acute mastitis caused by Escherichia coli species sensitive to marbofloxacin, during lactation.
Pigs:
-Treatment of Metritis-Mastitis-Agalaxia (MMA) syndrome, produced by marbofloxacin-sensitive germs.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Side effects:
Intramuscular administration may cause transient local reactions (e.g. pain, swelling) at the injection site and even inflammatory lesions that persist for at least 12 days after administration.
If you notice any serious reactions or other effects that are not listed in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

Cattle:
For the treatment of respiratory infections, the recommended dose is 2 mg marbofloxacin/kg body weight/day (1 ml produced per 50 kg body weight), once a day, subcutaneously or intramuscularly, for 3-5 consecutive days.
For the treatment of acute mastitis, the recommended dose is 2 mg marbofloxacin/kg body weight/day (1 ml produced per 50 kg body weight), once a day, subcutaneously or intramuscularly, for 3 consecutive days.
In cattle, the subcutaneous route of administration was found to be better tolerated than the intramuscular route.
Pigs: the recommended dose is 2 mg marbofloxacin/kg body weight/day (1ml produced per 50 kg body weight), once a day, intramuscularly, for 3 consecutive days.
The injection is done in the throat area.
Recommendations for correct administration:
To ensure a correct dosage, the body weight of the animals should be accurately determined whenever possible to avoid underdosing.
Waiting time:
Meat and organs:
Cattle: 6 days;
Pigs: 3 days;
Bovine milk: 36 hours.
Special precautions for storage:
Keep out of sight and reach of children;
Do not store at a temperature higher than 25Â C;
Do not refrigerate or freeze;
Store in a dry place;
Protect from direct light;
Do not use after the expiration date;
Shelf life from the first opening of the primary packaging: 28 days.
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product:
People with known hypersensitivity to the active substance should avoid contact with the product;
In case of ingestion, accidental skin contact or self-injection, seek medical advice immediately and present the package leaflet or product label. The person handling the veterinary medicinal product must wear protective equipment.
Use during gestation or lactation:
Use during pregnancy: Laboratory studies in animals (rats, rabbits) have not indicated teratogenic, embryotoxic or other maternal toxic effects of marbofloxacin.
The safety of the product has been demonstrated in cattle during gestation.
Use during lactation: The safety of the product has been demonstrated in piglets and suckler calves when the product has been used in lactating sows and cows.
Overdose: (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes) as appropriate.
No adverse reactions other than those mentioned for a single dose 3 times the recommended dose were observed.
Overdose can cause neurological disorders that will need to be treated symptomatically.
Incompatibilities:
In the absence of compatibility studies, this veterinary medicinal product should not be mixed with other veterinary medicinal products.
Packaging presentation:
Polypropylene bottles x 100 ml, closed with a brombutyl rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminum staple.
