TERRAMYCIN AT 100 ML – Oxytetracycline dihydrate – solution for injection

Composition
Oxytetracycline dihydrate 200 mg,
Excipient long–acting qsp 1 ml.
Properties
TMLA‘s patented formula allows a complete antibiotic therapy to be achieved in a single injection. After a single injection at a dose of 1ml/10kg body weight, effective blood titers are maintained for 3–5 days. The single administration of TMLA replaces 3 administrations every 24 hours with an antibiotic with a classic formula. Unlike ordinary “retard“ preparations, the blood titer appears very quickly after injection, which allows the use of this product even in case of acute infections. Terramycin has a broad spectrum of activity acting on Gram positive and Gram negative germs, Actinomyces spp., protozoa, spirochetes, mycoplasmas and chlamide.
Indications
It is used in the treatment of general or local infections in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs:
– Infectious pneumopathies, transport fever;
– Infectious gastroenteritis;
– Metritis, mastitis, MMA syndrome (Mammal–Metritis–Agalaxia);
– Infectious abortions (chlamydia, Q fever);
– Panaritis, arthritis;
– Anaplasmosis, leptospirosis, emphysematous anthrax, actinobacillosis;
– Prevention of surgical, traumatic or obstetric infections;
– Bacterial complications of viral diseases;
– Tropical pathology (anaplasmosis, dermatophilosis);
– Infectious kerato–conjunctivitis in cattle;
Method of administration and dosage
It is administered intramuscularly deep by single injection. The dose for cattle, sheep, goats and pigs is 1 ml/10kg live weight; In piglets weighing 2–10 kg, 1 ml will be made subcutaneously, and in those under 2 kg only 0.5 ml SC. Do not administer Injectable Iron on the same day. In cases requiring prolonged antibiotic therapy, the product can be readministered 3–5 days after the first inoculation. Temporary swelling may occur at the site of infection, but it is not serious and disappears within a few days. To reduce this phenomenon, it is recommended not to inject:
– more than 20 ml in the same place in cattle;
– more than 5 ml in the same place in sheep and goats;
– more than 10 ml in the same place in pigs.
Waiting period
Meat and by–products 21 days.
Milk 7 days.
Conservation conditions
Terramycina L.A. is stable and stored at room temperature (but not above 300C) and free from frost. A slight
blackening of the solution, which does not reduce its effectiveness in any way.
