Indications:
Benfogamma is a vitamin preparation. The active substance in Benfogamma is benfotiamine.
Benfotiamine is the fat-soluble derivative of vitamin B1 (thiamine). Its solubility, superior to thiamine, determines the good absorption of benfotiamine which will be transformed in the body into thiamine.

Benfotiamine is indicated in:
– prevention of vitamin B1 deficiency.

Contraindications:
Do not use Benfogamma:
– if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Benfogamma, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The general rule in any therapy is that medicines should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after careful consideration of the risk-benefit ratio.
If you are (or might become) pregnant or if you are breastfeeding, you can take between 1.4 and 1.6 mg of vitamin B1.
You can take a higher dose of vitamin B1 only if you are sure that you have a vitamin B1 deficiency, because the safety of using high doses has not been demonstrated to date.
Vitamin B1 passes into breast milk.

Driving and using machines:
Benfogammanu influences the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:
For the prevention of vitamin B1 deficiency
The recommended dose is one Benfogamma tablet once a day.

Benfogamma tablets should be swallowed whole (not chewed) with sufficient liquid.

Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you notice that the effect of
Benfogamma is too strong or too weak.

Composition:
– The active substance is benfotiamine (vitamin B1). Each tablet contains 50 mg of benfotiamine.
– The other ingredients are: Core: corn starch, sugar, gelatin, talc, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, Coating: colloidal anhydrous silica, kaolin, glycerol-macrogol hydroxystearate, gum arabic, sugar, corn starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, povidone K25, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), carmellose sodium, sodium carbonate, glucose syrup, macrogol 6000, montan glycol wax.
