What Canephron forte is and what it is used for
Canephron forte is a herbal medicine, with traditional use, used:
– for supportive treatment and adjunct to specific medication administered in case of mild symptoms (frequent urination, burning when urinating and urgent need to urinate) caused by inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract;
– to increase urinary flow, in order to reduce kidney stone deposits.
Canephron forte is a herbal medicine, with traditional use, which is used for the specified indications, exclusively on the basis of long-term use.

How to take Canephron forte
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as told by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
The recommended dose is:
– Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over should take 1 tablet 3 times a day.
– Children: Canephron forte should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
There are insufficient data on the recommended dose in patients with impaired kidney/liver function.
Method of administration:
Take a single dose of Canephron forte 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening). Dredges should be swallowed whole (without being chewed), with a sufficient amount of liquid (for example, a glass of water). Drinking a large amount of fluids during the treatment helps to make it effective.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3 days, please consult a doctor or other health care professional. This medicine should not be used for self–medication for more than 2 weeks.
If you take more Canephron forte than you should
If the dose of Canephron forte taken was higher than recommended, please tell your doctor. Your doctor will decide on the necessary measures. The side effects listed below may be more intense.
So far, no cases of overdose have been reported.
If you forget to take Canephron forte
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although they do not occur in all people.
Common side effects (may affect 1 in 10 people): gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea).
