Sensiblex 50 ml 40 mg/ml, injectable solution

Composition:

1 ml contains

Denaverin hydrochloride 40 mg equivalent to 36.5 mg Denaverine

Excipient:Benzyl alcohol 20 mg

Therapeutic indications:

Cow: facilitating parturition in heifers, activating interrupted parturitions, insufficient opening of the cervix due to uterine atony and abnormal fetal positions, fetal malformations, cervical strictures of the first and second degrees following correction of uterine torsion, improving conditions and reducing the risk in case of fetotomy (too large fetus, abnormal presentations and positions of dead fetuses that cannot be corrected, malformations, etc.) Regularization of contractions in case of uterine atony or in case of hypertonic contractions of the uterus prepared for parturition. To facilitate parturition, Sensiblex should be administered at the end of the opening and dilation phase. Cases of fetotomy require appropriate epidural anesthesia. If necessary, Sensiblex® administration can be repeated every 40-60 minutes in the same dose.

Dog, cat: in case of prolonged or interrupted parturition, in combination with oxytocin administered in a dose of 3-10 i.u. in dogs and 3 i.u. in cats simultaneously with Sensiblex or (preferably) 10-20 minutes after its administration.

Administration and dosage

It is injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly.

The effect is established in 5-10 minutes and is maximum for 10 minutes.

Heifers 200 – 400 mg Denaverine hydrochloride/animal i.e. 5.0 – 10.0 ml Sensiblex®/animal

Cows 400 mg Denaverine hydrochloride/animal i.e. 10.0 ml Sensiblex®/animal

Dogs: 20 – 60 mg Denaverine hydrochloride/animal i.e. 0.5 – 1.5 ml Sensiblex®/animal

Cats: 0.25 – 0.75 ml Sensiblex®/animal

Contraindications:

Cattle: administration in the early stages of dilation is ineffective and should be avoided

Dogs: uniparous conditions, oversized fetuses

Side effects:

restlessness, transient swelling at the site of administration.

Overdose:

In case of overdose or intravenous administration, anticholinergic manifestations (increased heart and respiratory rate) are possible.

Interactions with other medicinal products and other types of interactions:

Sensiblex® should not be mixed with other medicinal products. In the case of consecutive administration of oxytocin, careful dosing is recommended due to the amplification of its effect in combination with Denaverine.

Storage:

Store at temperatures below 25 °C. Keep out of the reach of children! Once opened, the contents of the bottle must be consumed within a maximum of 28 days.
