One vaginal tablet contains 200mg clotrimazole and excipients: calcium lactate pentahydrate, poly (1–vinyl–2–pyrrolidone), colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, corn starch, methylhydroxypropyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, lactic acid.
In general, there is a visible improvement in the symptoms caused by vaginal fungal infections (itching, abundant secretions, burning sensation) in the first four days after starting treatment. If the external signs of the infection have not completely disappeared after treatment, consult your doctor.
Treatment for 3 consecutive days is generally enough to eliminate fungal infections. However, if necessary, treatment can be followed by another cycle of therapy. If you interrupt treatment, the condition may reappear, and there is a possibility that the infection may not have completely healed.
Indications:
Infectious vaginal secretions caused by yeasts;
Inflammation of the vagina caused by yeasts – usually Candida;
Superinfections with clotrimazole-sensitive bacteria.
Method of administration: Insert 1 vaginal tablet as deeply as possible into the vagina once a day, in the evening for 3 consecutive days.
If you forget to use a dose in the evening, you can take the tablet the next morning. If you forget to use a full dose, take one dose the next time and continue treatment as recommended.
Treatment should not be ended as soon as the symptoms have disappeared, but should be continued systematically for 3 days.
If the vagina is dry, the vaginal tablets can only dissolve incompletely. If this happens, particles from the tablets will fall out, being found in the underwear. In such a case, this treatment should be followed using vaginal cream.
The insertion, using the applicator is done as follows:
Unfold the applicator as much as possible. You should insert the vaginal tablet into the applicator so that about half of the tablet is outside the applicator with the rounded side out. Gently press the round part of the applicator with your finger.
You should carefully insert the applicator into the vagina as deeply as possible. The easiest is in the sitting position, on your back.
Carefully push the applicator rod into the applicator as far as possible; In this way, the tablet is correctly positioned in the vagina. Withdraw the applicator.
Carefully clean the applicator with lukewarm water (not hot water) after use.
Precautions:
Consult your doctor if the condition first appeared and if you have had fungal infections of this kind more than four times in the last 12 months.
