COMPOSITION
Florfenicol………. 100 mg/ml
INDICATIONS
Swine: treatment and metaphylaxis of chronic respiratory diseases (pleuropneumonia) caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida.
Chickens (broilers): treatment and metaphylaxis of enteritis caused by E. coli (colibacillosis) and respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum (mycoplasmosis).
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to the excipient of the product.
Do not use in boars intended for breeding.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
In pigs, during the treatment period, a reduction in water consumption and the following adverse reactions may be observed: perianal and rectal erythema/edema, transient diarrhea, constipation with dark brown feces. These reactions are transient and reversible.
TARGET SPECIES
Pigs and chickens (broilers).
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Administration: orally, in drinking water.
Pigs: a dose of 15 mg active substance/kg body weight/day, respectively 0.15 ml product/kg body weight/day for 5 consecutive days, must be provided.
The amount of Florcrid 100 mg/ml (CSF) solution will be calculated based on the total body weight (GCT) of the livestock to be treated and the total water consumption (CAT) of the livestock in 24 hours using the formula:
per 1000 liters of medicated water in the tank.
Chickens (broilers): a dose of 30 mg active substance/kg body weight/day, or 0.3 ml Florcrid 100 mg/ml/kg body weight/day, should be provided for 3 consecutive days.
The amount of Florfenicol 100 mg/ml solution (CSF) should be calculated based on the total body weight (GCT) of the flock to be treated and the total water consumption (CAT) of the flock in 24 hours using the formula:
per 1000 liters of medicated water in the tank.
RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATION
To ensure a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing. Ingestion of medicated water depends on the clinical condition of the animals. Ingestion of medicated water by the animal may be affected by the disease. In case of insufficient ingestion of medicated water, the treatment regimen should be reviewed. Medicated water should be the only source of drinking water. Medicated water should only be used for 24 hours and should be freshly prepared each day. If no improvement in clinical signs is observed during treatment, the diagnosis should be reviewed and the treatment modified.
CAUTION!
When using a dosing device, do not use more than 1 liter of product per 100 liters of water to avoid precipitation.
Do not set the dosing device below 2%.

Not authorised for use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
