Magnerot is a medicine that contains magnesium orotate as an active substance. Magnerot is indicated in the prophylaxis of myocardial infarction and myocardial necrosis, in the treatment of angina pectoris, if these conditions are caused by magnesium deficiency, atherosclerosis, stenocardia, arteritis and arteriolitis, lipid metabolism disorders, muscle cramps.
Ingredients: Each tablet contains active components – 500 mg orotate of Mg 2H2O – (corresponding to 2.7 mEq, 1.35 mmol or 32.8 mg Mg).
Directions: To restore magnesium stores – take 2 Magnerot tablets (1 g magnesium dihydrate) 3 times a day for one week. Next, 2–3 Magnerot tablets (1–1.5 g magnesium orotate dihydrate) should be taken per day.
Take Magnerot tablets whole, with a little liquid, before or with meals. The duration of treatment should be at least 6 weeks, but Magnerot can also be given for longer.
Precautions
Do not take Magnerot if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to magnesium orotate or any of the other ingredients of Magnerot, if you have kidney disease or if you have renal lithiasis diathesis (urinary stones made up of calcium phosphate, magnesium, ammonium).
