Mastodynon is a homeopathic medicine. The active substances in Mastodynon tablets are: Vitex agnus castus, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Cyclamen purpurascens, Strychnos ignatii, Iris versicolor, Lilium tigrinum.
Mastodynon is indicated as a treatment in women of childbearing potential who have the following disorders:
– menstrual cycle disorders caused by temporary or permanent insufficiency of the luteal phase;
– premenstrual syndrome with disorders such as breast pain, mental instability, swelling of the lower limbs, constipation, headache, migraine (very pronounced headache);
– benign painful breast disorders (fibrocystic mastopathy).

Each tablet contains: Vitex agnus castus 162mg; Caulophyllum thalictroides D4 81mg; Cyclamen purpurascens D4 81mg; Strychnos ignatii D6 81mg; Iris versicolor D2 162mg; Lilium tigrinum D3 81mg.
Method of administration:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is one Mastodynon tablet 2 times a day (one tablet in the morning and one in the evening). The tablets are swallowed with a sufficient amount of liquid (e.g. a glass of water). You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
Mastodynon should be taken for at least 3 months, including during menstruation. In general, the improvement of symptoms occurs after 6 weeks. You should talk to your doctor if your symptoms get worse or do not improve after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment. If symptoms return after stopping Mastodynon, treatment can be continued after a medical consultation. Long-term treatment may be necessary.
As there are no adequate data on the use of this medicine in children below 12 years of age, Mastodynon should not be administered in this age group.
