Ingredients:

Pharmatex contains benzalkonium chloride, which is a spermicidal and antiseptic substance. The protection is immediate and lasts at least 10 hours.
Benzalkonium chloride is a spermicidal and antiseptic substance. In vitro studies show that the product is active on a number of infectious agents responsible for sexually transmitted diseases, in particular: gonococci, chlamydia, herpes virus type 2, HIV, Trichomonas vaginalis, staphylococcus aureus. There are no changes in the saprophytic flora and Doderlein bacilli are not influenced.
Through its active substance, benzalkonium chloride, Pharmatex Cream acts strictly locally, without causing unwanted effects and without altering the vaginal flora, the product respecting the vaginal pH.

Indications:

This method of local contraception is addressed to women of childbearing age and especially: when there is a temporary or definitive contraindication for oral contraception or intrauterine device contraception; after childbirth, during breastfeeding or pre–menopause; when episodic contraception is needed; in case of using oral contraception, if a dose has been missed or delayed; in this case, it is recommended to combine the two methods of contraception in the remaining interval until the onset of menstrual bleeding; in combination with local contraception by intrauterine device, especially during regular administration of certain medications, such as non–steroidal anti–inflammatory drugs. Thus, you can use Pharmatex Cream without worries if you are over 35 years old, if you are a smoker or breastfeeding, if you have hypertension, hepatitis or diabetes. You will be protected from an unwanted pregnancy without harming yourself.

Pharmatex Cream can be used by all women, including those women who have cardiovascular diseases (such as high blood pressure), metabolic disorders (hyperlipidemia, diabetes, etc.), liver diseases, breast and cervical cancer, i.e. women who have contraindications to contraceptive pills or intrauterine devices.

Precautions:
In order not to inactivate the contraceptive effect, it is not recommended to combine other drugs administered vaginally (antifungal, antitrichomoniasis, antibacterial, antiseptic, antiherpetic, topical estrogen-containing products) because any local vaginal treatment can inactivate the local contraceptive.

Local contraception: this method considerably reduces the risk of pregnancy, but does not eliminate it completely. Clinical efficacy is assessed using the corrected Pearl efficacy index, which is less than 1 if used correctly.
