Nostamine drops is intended for both nasal and intraocular use, having the following indications:
– nasal: recommended in congestion of the nasal mucosa of various etiologies, in the symptomatic treatment of rhinitis, sinusitis and allergic rhinitis;
– ocular: recommended in spring catarrhal syndrome and other ocular allergic manifestations.
The action of Nostamin is given by the two active ingredients: nafazolin hydrochloride has a rapid vasoconstrictor effect, and chlorpheniramine maleate has a marked antihistamine action. Through this, Nostamine produces a rapid and prolonged decongestion of the nasal mucosa and conjunctiva.
Ingredients:
Sterile ophthalmic and nasal solution contains: naphazolin hydrochloride – 0.5 mg, chlorpheniramine maleate – 0.5 mg, isotonic solution – up to 1.0 ml.
Method of administration:
Nasal: 2 drops 4 times a day, in each nostril.
Ocular: 1 – 2 drops in the conjunctival sac every 3 – 6 hours.
It should be administered only on the doctor’s recommendation.
Contraindications:
Angle-closure glaucoma. Keep out of reach of children.
Adverse effects: in frequent applications, a mild, transient stinging sensation may occur.
